About Sandy Brindle
This is me...Sandy Brindle, always keeping an eye on things, old and new, hoping to share with you, that magical place where art, memories, and nature meets. In my little corner of the world, I am an artist, naturalist, collector of things, and educator, lucky enough to be able to mix it all together to make a living. Please join me as I share my art, while wondering through the forest, fields, salt marshes, ponds, beaches, barns, and back roads of this great country we live in...Enjoy!
Sandy operates her home studio, Footloose Art, on Hillcrest road in York S.C. Her award winning watercolors, acrylics, and oils are in private and corporate collections across the United States. Her first love in media, is watercolor. She often switches to acrylic or oils to achieve a highly realistic rendering of wildlife. She has traveled to all forty-eight contiguous states, photographing and researching subject matter for her paintings. Sandy is widely known in North and South Carolina for her generous donations of wildlife art to various organizations. She takes great satisfaction in knowing that she has helped raise thousands of dollars to aid these organizations in their ongoing efforts to provide and maintain habitat for many species of wildlife, not just in the Carolinas, but nationally and internationally. Sandy has been teaching watercolor classes since 1990. She teaches five adult watercolor classes a week, in her second floor studio, at McCelvey Center in York. You can reach her at footlooseart@gmail.com
